The Retreat offers the ultimate in luxury. A 3 bedroom penthouse with balcony views over the 18th Hole of the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, Kenfig Nature Reserve and Pink Bay Beach

Located in the prestigious Links private gated community. It’s ideal for golfers, surfers, kite surfers, walkers and families seeking a sanctuary to base their holiday. The Retreat is fully furnished, decorated with premium furniture and appliances throughout. We have paid attention to every detail, from the Prosecco and essentials welcome pack on arrival, to the luxury Christie’s bath robes and drinks trolley to chill your champagne.

Each of the 3 luxury hotel style bedrooms has floor to ceiling headboards, premium mattresses, hypoallergenic down alternative duvets and exquisite 800 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding. Fluffy towels, face cloths and locally sourced toiletries are in each bathroom.

Individual room thermostats control the underfloor heating, so you will be toasty warm while snuggled up in-front of the 75” smart TV.

Open up the sliding door onto the balcony to expand the double vaulted open plan living space into an outdoor/indoor entertainment space. We love sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the sunset over the sea hole the golfers finish their round.

If you need to work, or have kids that can’t be without their screens there is unlimited, super fast 1GB, free wifi throughout the property.

The premium German kitchen is fitted with Bosch appliances. Oven, microwave, dishwasher, wine fridge and stone work surfaces. Theres a breakfast bar and marble dining table that seats 6 for dinner. For that special occasion, we have partnered with, a Masterchef semi finalist who for an additional fee will come and cook for you and your family. If your staying with us for a week there’s even a new Bosch washing machine/tumble dryer

If you fancy something a little more adventurous we have also teamed up with private one to one surfing & kite surfing instructors. If you like fishing we can also recommend a local sea fishing boat charter.

For golfers you are spoilt for choice. The famous Royal Porthcawl Golf club is outside your bedroom window, but there are also three equally challenging golf clubs within a 5 mile radius.

If your a surfer or just love the beach, rest bay beach, surf school and bar is just a 2 minute walk away. It’s great being able to pop your wetsuit on in comfort, then walk down to the beach for a surf.

The Retreat has a video entry system, gated private parking and lift access to the top floor. It’s the perfect secure base to relax and unwind with friends and family.
